Because food is culture,
connection, and community.

At oriri, we believe that food reflects who we are. It’s a universal language that connects people, places, and traditions. But in today’s fragmented food landscape, those connections are often lost.
We started oriri because:

Food is culture

Every meal has a story, and those stories deserve to be heard.

Sustainability matters

Supporting responsible producers and conscious businesses creates a better future for food.

Connection is everything

Food brings people together, and we want to strengthen those bonds.

For the love of food,
for the love of connection.

Our mission is to enrich the gastronomic ecosystem by fostering meaningful connections between restaurants, shops, producers, professionals, and foodies. We celebrate culinary traditions, promote sustainability, and bring transparency to the stories behind every ingredient. oriri is here to ensure that the stories behind the food - the farmers, chefs, artisans, and creators - are seen, shared, and celebrated.
Not a review site. Not a ranking system.

A space for real stories and authentic connections.

We built oriri because the food world needs more than just ratings and quick snapshots. It needs a platform where people can truly connect - where diners can understand the journey of their food, where producers can share their craft, and where professionals can grow their networks and careers.

Behind every great dish,
there’s a great team.

oriri was founded by two friends and long-time collaborators,
Toon Diependaele and Christophe Mes, who share a passion for food, storytelling, and technology.
Toon Diependaele
With a background in hotel management from culinary school, Toon’s love for gastronomy runs deep. Having worked in the restaurant industry and still stepping into kitchens from time to time, he understands the realities, challenges, and magic that happen behind the scenes. His career evolved into digital strategy and innovation, leading local and international teams to build connected ecosystems - but food has always remained at the heart of his journey. oriri is where these two worlds meet.
Christophe Mes
A specialist in technology and operations, Christophe focuses on building future-proof platforms that solve real-world problems while enhancing user experiences. His expertise has been key in creating scalable solutions for businesses while maintaining a human-centered approach.

A platform with purpose - a future built on giving back.

The future of oriri isn’t just about growing a platform - it’s about growing a community that gives back. Through our steward-ownership model, profits from oriri will be reinvested into the oriri foundation, ensuring that the people, places, and traditions that shape our food world continue to thrive.
The oriri foundation will focus on:

oriri isn’t just a platform

It’s a movement to create positive change in the gastronomic ecosystem, ensuring that every story and every connection has a lasting impact. Because the future of food is a future we build together.
